Addendum
1. The purpose of the present information
circular is to add the occupational groups of nursing and of science and
technology to the list of occupational groups offered in the 2003 national
competitive recruitment examination programme.
2. The deadline for the receipt of
applications is 31 October 2002 solely for these occupational groups. The 20
September 2002 deadline remains unchanged for all other occupational groups
listed in information circular ST/IC/2002/50 of 8 August 2002.
3. Owing to the special nature of the
profession, candidates for the occupational group of nursing must have the
following qualifications. The applicant must be a registered nurse, with at
least a B.S. in nursing, and must have at least five to seven years of responsible
experience in the application of nursing skills. Fluency in oral and written
English is mandatory; knowledge of a second official United Nations language is
an asset.
