Brief Description of Post:
Responsibilities include secretarial and expert assistance to meetings of several specialized bodies of Government experts dealing with the transport of dangerous goods; preparation of highly technical legislative texts; dissemination of information and development of computerized publications using information technology.
Job Requirements:
Acceptable degrees include (a) a first-level university degree in physics, chemistry or other sciences with a good background in physics and chemistry or (b) a diploma from a polytechnic school. Familiarity with information technology and practice in using PC is necessary. Logic and accuracy are essential skills.
One to three years of professional experience, preferably in one of the following fields highly desirable: transport administration (dangerous goods); protection of the environment; chemical or transport industries or associations. Experience in drafting reports and/or preparing publications of a technical nature, and in the use of information technology.
Fluency in either English or French and a good working knowledge of the other highly desirable.
