UNITED NATIONS UNITED NATIONS VOLUNTEERS MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF ITALY The Internship Programme, financed by Italy, will be implemented by the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) in co-operation with the Office of Human Resources for International Co-operation, United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (HRIC/UNDESA). This initiative provides university graduates with the opportunity to offer their services to developing countries for a 12-month period. University graduates may apply if:

Short listed candidates will receive further information on the volunteer assignment, the duty station and conditions of service. Interviews will take place in June 2002. Selected candidates are expected to start the Internship Programme in October 2002. Upon arrival at the duty station, they will receive a monthly living allowance according to the cost of living in the country of assignment. The application form, to be submitted in English, is available at the HRIC/UNDESA Office.
